Time well spent at the World VR/AR Sports Innovation Summit in San Fran. It was interesting to see how fast the technology is evolving in this space and how the industries of sports and broadcasting are working to figure out how it makes sense for them. Great panel discussion and interchange from folks at the NBA, NFL , GPA, PGA Tour, MSFT, FoxSports , SMT and of course NASCAR.

What an inspiring week it was at the World VR/AR Sports Innovation Summit in SF. NBA, NFL , GPA, PGA Tour , FoxSports , Sky Sports , Turner and ESPN leadership all presented their vision for VR broadcast. What an opportunity for providers of solutions driving video quality, social experience + monetisation!

Last week Matteo Masucci and I were privileged to take part in the inaugural World Virtual and Augmented Reality Sport Innovation Summit in San Francisco. I’ve been to many conferences with thousands of participants, but there were 250 pioneers that participated here. Senior executives from the broadcast world, all major sports leagues, content and platform creators and major brands shared stories and thoughts on their early experiences and first steps into leveraging VR and AR to engage fans, tell stories and elevate the game.
